Last class you facetimed with the Newseum about photo ethics. Talk about what you learned, what was surprising, and how you will use this new knowledge to better your reading of news and producing news
From listening to the Newseum photo ethics talk, I learned that journalists add things into photos. They add things that no one would notice like a basketball in an action shot of two basketball players where you couldn't see the original basketball. This was very surprising to me because I never thought someone would be allowed to do that. I probably will use this knowledge, not in my own writing, but while I'm looking and reading other news articles by other authors, I'll look out for these subtle fibs in their photography.
