1. Do some prep. 2. Use other interviews 3. find background of verbal, small time interviews 4. use icebreakers 5. listen without interrupting/considering your next question 6. shut up 7. be interested in everything possible and uncomfortable with things you don't know about. What was one tip that you particularly liked and will use?


I liked the tip to not interupt the speaker or consider your next question while they're still speaking. I've never really thought about it but, even without physically interrupting someone, your brain can interpret them if it starts to think about another task like generating the next question. Your not going to understand what they are saying or be able to write a good story about it if you're never fully listening. I'll remember this tip as I interview.
